The Aurangabad Bible School (ABS) is located in the city of Aurangabad, in the State of Maharashtra, India. The mission of ABS is to train gospel preachers from Maharashtra that speak the local language (Marathi). In addition to the school, West End is providing full support for two of the instructors at ABS. (Note: All Christians are watched by the government, and other religions in India. Care should be taken in sending e-mails to Amul or Rajendra not to come across too “churchy.” Recent laws have been passed making “conversion” more visible to the government, and forms must be filed that indicate that anyone being converted was not coerced or bribed to be converted. Thus each conversion will require documentation to the government in some states in India. Please remember that e-mail can be easily monitored and screened for words such as “conversion,” “baptism,” etc. We would not want to turn our letters of encouragement into a source of persecution for our brothers and sisters in India).
