West End Kindergarten seeks to serve the needs of families by providing early childhood education at reasonable cost in a warm, caring environment. West End Kindergarten is operated in compliance with the standards for day care centers serving pre-school children as required by the Department of Human Services. It is state approved and fully accredited by the Tennessee Department of Education. While the kindergarten is operated independently from West End Church of Christ, West End families do receive enrollment priority. Many of the kindergarten teachers are members of the West End congregation.

Classes are provided for children ages 2 1/2 through 5 years old. The school is open Monday through Friday from the end of August to the end of May following a normal school schedule. School hours are 8:30-11:30 for pre-schoolers and 8:30-12:30 for Kindergartners. Early care is available beginning at 7:30 a.m. to assist parents having early work schedules; extended child care is available until 6:00 p.m. The kindergarten shares the West End classroom and playground facilities at 8301 East Walker Springs Lane.
